Terms of service
Last updated October 27, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Pleasant Street Partners, LLC, doing business as Wren Money ("Wren", "we" or "us"), covering your use of the Wren app and wrenmoney.com. By creating a Wren account, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.
What Wren does
Wren moves money between your own bank accounts according to rules you set up in the app, and lets you move money between them once when you choose to. Wren is not a bank and never holds your money. Transfers are made by ACH through Astra, Inc. ("Astra"). When you sign up with Astra in the app, you accept Astra's own terms, and Astra's terms govern the transfers it makes. Wren connects to your banks through Plaid.
Who can use Wren
You must be at least 18, live in the United States, and only link bank accounts that you own and are allowed to move money from. You agree to give us accurate information and to keep your email account secure, since that's how you sign in to Wren. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your Wren account.
Your instructions to move money
Before you turn on a rule, by saving it, changing it or resuming it, the app shows what you're authorizing: the accounts money moves between, when it moves, how much, and how to stop it. When you agree, you authorize Wren to have Astra make those ACH transfers whenever the rule calls for them, until you pause or delete the rule in the app or write to us, and we email you a copy. When you use Move money, the app shows the one transfer you're authorizing. We keep a record of each authorization you give. Once Astra has started a transfer, Wren may not be able to stop it.
Balances, timing and overdrafts
Wren decides when to move money from the balances your banks report through Plaid. Those balances can be out of date, and pending transactions or other activity can change them after Wren checks. Before Wren moves money, for a rule or for Move money, it checks the live balance of the account the money comes from. Even so, Wren can't guarantee that an account will have enough money when the transfer settles. ACH transfers usually take one to three business days, and banks can return them.
You're responsible for keeping enough money in your accounts, and for any fees your bank charges, including overdraft and returned-payment fees. Setting a floor in Wren that leaves room for your usual spending makes these less likely.
Fees
Wren doesn't charge for its service today. If that changes, we'll tell you before any fee applies, and you can stop using Wren instead. Your banks may charge their own fees.
Using Wren properly
Don't use Wren to break the law, to move money for anyone other than yourself, to get around the security of Wren or its partners, or in a way that harms Wren or other members.
Ending your account
You can stop using Wren at any time and delete your account in the app's Settings or by writing to us. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if Astra or Plaid stops serving you, or if we need to for legal or security reasons. Transfers already started may still complete.
Disclaimers
Wren is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we don't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that every transfer will happen when a rule calls for it. Wren doesn't give financial, tax or legal advice.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, Wren isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including bank fees, lost interest or lost profits, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Wren in the twelve months before the claim or $100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email you before it takes effect. If you keep using Wren after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
